Average returns for location rent

I lived at ESV in 2005-6 and found that though the staff was busy, they would assist me when I waited for them to be available to me. If I called in a maintenance repair, such as a water leak in the water heater, they fixed the problem. If I had a problem with a noisy neighbor, I called the 911 dispatch and got a police officer to answer my request. It's a sad fact, but some of my neighbors did not realize how loud their music was on my side of the wall until the police knocked on their door. However, most neighbors would turn the music down after such a visit. (Happened 2-3 times there.) As for noise in the courtyard, that's why I left besides the fact of the occasional vagrant asking for money on the Rail. (The courtyard was dark at night around the pool area during my residence thereof.) There were some nights my neighbors took their little ones out for a midnight pit stop -- the high pitched "good boy" rewards bestowed on their little pups resonate from my sleepless nights at ESV. Maybe that's why so many of my neighbors stayed up so late to party at ESV. The common market target appears to me to be young whipper snappers. So, in addition to the good experiences, just one thing swung the balances to my moving away: Vagrants on the rail and people asking for money. Else, I would have stayed because many other apartment communities have the same or comparable issues. P.S. The remarks people make about trash and the hallways--blame the careless neighbors who forget to think about others or the lease they signed. They should think about that before they complain about the high rents they pay for the next year. Also too, perhaps maintenance would respond sooner to maintenance calls if people would not leave trash out for others to dispose of. When you sign a lease, keep your end of the bargain and, if you have a complaint, put it in writing or fax or email or something--but keep on until the problem is resolved. Yes, sometimes the management company received the message in writing or fax but somebody lost the message. Perhaps you may have to call them about it, and maybe see them about it, but hey, they're human, make mistakes sometimes, and if they only do it once to you in a year, I figure that's okay. Especially when they forgive my 2-day late rent one time with no late fees.
