Not recommended for a short-term lease, but well worth it otherwise

I only lived here for three months, but I can definitely provide some perspective on what a summer is like at Eastside.
The staff are incredibly friendly. When I first came to move in I left my checkbook in Austin, but they went ahead and let me move in and I paid the next day, which was very helpful. I haven't had any problems with them at all, including payment problems that people seem to occasionally complain about.
The apartment itself was very nice. Living in Phase I, it was open and very spacious. The apartment is well-insulated, so keeping it cool was not very expensive at all. Never had any maintenance problems, the apartment was in good shape the whole summer. Also parking was very convenient, and I never had problems myself or saw problems with anyone else, as long as you park where residents are supposed to.
I really only have two complaints. The more minor one is that yes, there are occasionally very loud parties out by the pool. HOWEVER, they are normally within respectable hours, and the music (though whoever it is has terrible, terrible taste) doesn't start blasting until at least 10:30am, and is off no later than 11pm. The bigger complaint is that for a short term lease it is an additional $200/month, so I was paying almost $1000/month on rent, which is especially excessive. Needless to say, I'll be going somewhere cheaper if I return to Plano next summer.

THIS RESPONSE IS A TOTAL FAKE. THIS SOUNDS LIKE A LEASING AGENT. "WELL INSULATED", "SPACIOUS APARTMENT",
"as long as you park where residents are supposed to" COME ON. HOW INSULTING TO THE RESIDENTS TO POST SUCH AN OBVIOUS "ADVERTISEMENT"!!!!

"Needless to say, I'll be going somewhere cheaper if I return to Plano next summer." Yeah, I'm definitely a leasing agent...

As a former intern, many of my reviews sound like this. Don't let them get to you. I wouldn't have paid so much for a summer's rent, though. Thanks for your opinions.
