Estancia Two Month Review From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 7/12/2008 Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007 1 response   Moved into apartment Aug 1st 07. Can't say all has been perfect BUT the management has taken care of all issue's promptly. Most issues are due to this being NEW constuction. Issue with walk in shower water flow. Small wood shavings in water lines were reason given as cause.Had to call maintence twice and then the plumbing contractor came out and flushed the lines.No further issue with water flow after that visit. Dripping kitchen sink faucet after being in apartment for two days.Resolved on first call to maintence. Bottom storage drawer on stove was not on rails.Repaired on 1st request. Freezer/ice maker noisy.After making ice at times ice is heard being thrown into freezer area and not in bucket.Probably needs adjusting. Pest control treatment twice due to ants in kitchen and bath area.No ants seen since last treatment.This is a ground floor unit BUT still don't expect ants. My BIGGEST "gripe" is this week found out there is going to be constuction starting on a NEW phase soon. Which due to city of Plano mandate a fence is having to be put up to prevent resident traffic flow on the North side of the property which will put a stop to being able to use the trash compactor and the vehicle car wash facility. These were the main reason I choose to move here since the compactor is much cleaner than dumpsters and you could wash your vehicle on the property. Now they have placed dumpsters around the property which is to me a "distraction" and a eye sore. In a matter of only 4 days I have noticed trash bags already on the outside of some dumpsters. Time will tell if these amenties will be provided to us in some alternative manner which was communicated to all residents in a flyer
