I lived at Fox Trails for about 5 years. I lived in a one bedroom for the first three years. I loved it! I never saw a bug or had any maintenance issues. It was quiet. Then I transferred to a one bedroom with den.
The one bedroom den apartment had some plumbing problems in the kitchen. The air went out several times during the summer. I had a problem with ants at one time, but the staff sent in pest control to take care of it. I was impressed with how quickly that problem was resolved.
I lived by the tennis and basketball courts. Sometimes it got loud, even late at night. So just don't live near the tennis court or pool if you can't handle noise. Other parts of the community were quiet. I never heard my neighbors.
The rent price was reasonable, but the electric bill cost from $200 to $300 in the summer. My neighbor also complained about the high electric bill. So the air conditioning unit was not efficient. The water bill was close to $40 per month. So that is something to consider if you are thinking about moving here.
I never had problems with maintenance. The staff and manager were always very nice. When I moved out, they were very fair about my deposit. I had a cat that had damaged the blinds and carpet. They only charged me $29. I was relieved that they did not charge more.
The location is convenient. Everything you need is close and easy to get to. I never had problems with parking.
The most important factor is that I always felt safe at Fox Trails. Overall I would recommend it.
