This is a nice apartment complex, and a good value for the money. The office staff have always been pleasant and helpful, and repairs have been taken care of quickly (usually within a day, even for something small, like re-doing grout in the tub). Most of the problems I have with the place have anything to do with the complex or the management.
The only issues I have with the place are-
1) Location. I moved here from Minneapolis, and Plano is great if you have 2 kids and a minivan, but if you have any kind of social life at all, or don't want to have to drive home after a night out, you're out of luck. There is nothing around except WalMart, it takes an hour to get a cab to go anywhere, and no bus line. Plano is incredibly boring.
We weren't familiar with the area before we moved in.
2) Screaming children - Again, this place is fine if you don't mind children, but there are a lot of them. Parents don't discipline their children, and they will be in the pool area screaming at the top of their lungs for HOURS when the pool is open. Thank God they have to sleep sometime!
3) Utility bills - the windows are single pane glass and they don't insulate well. Our electric bill for August was $450 just to keep it comfortable. I don't think there's much the management can do about this- I doubt they are going to replace all the windows.
Overall, it's a nice complex- safe and clean.
