Not awesome but not a nightmare....

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2007

Office - No big or small problems. Seems that the time I moved in to now they have been making changes with personnel. Maintenance requests have been responded to when placed in writing and not so when called in. One billing issue were they lost my rent check but was cashed my water payment. However hasn't happened since. One issue during the time before move in was that the person in my apartment placed a notice of intent to not renew and 3 weeks before my move in wanted to cancel that. They made an attempt to get me into a 2nd floor apartment, but I refused and they had to honor the contract. I'm half expecting a huge increase next year as a backlash from this. The staff when I moved in seemed uncaring and that it was a pain for them to actually work their job, but this has changed. My last couple of visits have been with people that think being friendly is a good thing in the apartment world.

Maintenance - It's adequate I guess. Ice maker, latch knob, and non-working light switch where on my list of things to fix. Did my move in thing which upon turning it in was told they would fix those things. That never happened. Contacted them via phone and still never happened. Went in and was asked to place a written request. I did and the work was finally done. So written maintenance requests that are dated for records seem to get the work done. Of the 3 things on my list only 1 was fixed, the ice maker. The latch knob on the sliding glass door was not replaced. This wouldn't be a big deal but I smoke outside and go in and out all day through that door. You catch it wrong once and you get a nice little cut. The light switch which probably worked a socket at one time would not be reconnected to do so. Seems that prior tenants didn't like that and I have to just deal with it.

The Unit - First floor, nice color on the walls with the option to have their painters use other colors. Nice layout for a 1 bedroom and the see through wall like setup for the dinning and living room gives it a nice openness. Noise levels are very low. My upstairs neighbor isn't too bad about being loud. In most cases I never hear him. However his family that visits once a week seem to make it a point to stomp with every movement of their body. Other noise is pretty low. Passing loud car from time to time but overall pretty quite place. Cooling is great. Over the summer I couldn't find a hot spot in my apartment. Winter hasn't started yet so I'm not sure about the heating side. Overall my electricity runs about 120 - 150$ summer and this fall my lowest bill has been 95$. Compared to my old place of 220 - 250$.

Parking - Not assigned and not covered. However people seem to have more respect to not ding your car when they get out of theirs. Have a late night and expect to park a little farther away than normal. Average of 6 to 1 newer model of cars around with the few old cars. Only seen a couple beater cars (the ones you would rather walk a mile to your apartment than park next to.)

People - Friendly, with little to no issues at all. I'm not one to talk to my neighbors but a few of the building everyone seems to be friends.

Crime - Low. A couple of domestic disputes from a unit a few buildings away. They have since moved. Overall I fell pretty safe here.

Other - So far I really don't have any other things that I like or dislike. Water is about 25 - 30$ a month which is a total of sewer, garbage, and water. The water appears to not be a average and taken once a month by a truck that uses a wireless connection to check the water meters. It's a little more than most places but not bank breaking. The shelves in the apartment are dated.

About me, I work at home 100% so my apartment is my office during the day. I have lived here 4 full months and all comments and averages are from that same period of time. I use 98% Fluorescent through the entire apartment for lighting and cost reduction. Average temp for the apartment is kept at 76 degree. Your mileage may very.
