This Apartment complex is intended only for families who are willing to pay any price so that they can send their kids to the school next door. DONT MOVE Here if you dont have kids. The reasons are as follows:
1) The Apartment rent rises by default 10% Every time the lease expires. You will get a lease extension notice 4 months ( 90 to 120 days) before lease expires encouraging you to sign an extension with 9% increase instead of 10% increase. Basically you are looking at atleast 60$ increase in rent every time you extend the lease. Also you need to give 60 days notice. It is important to take note that if you ever go month to month here, you will pay 200$ as a fine over the market rent which inturn is 200$ more than your lease typically. So if you ever go month to month sucker, pay 400$ more per month over your lease. You also need to give 60 days advance notice to move, which means they have locked 800$ in profits at a minimum if you ever decide to overstay your lease.
DONT EVER MOVE here if you dont plan on 6 month savings in expenses since it is very very expensive to get out of an existing lease. You will pay 2000$ at a minimum inorder to get out of the cheapest lowest apartment lease they can offer.

2) Your renewal lease terms are going to be the WORST if you are going to move here on a promotion. They know that you will be lazy to move and they will squeeze you for everything they can get.

2) Add on Fees per month as follows: 10 to 15$ per month renters Insurance, 40 to 60$ Trash fees,4$ Landscaping fees, 1$ pest control fees : Total add on Fees per month is around 55 to 80$

3) The apartments have really old appliances including the AC. This translates into high electric bills of around 200$ per month on average.

4) The fitness center and pool are a joke and a waste of time even to write about.

5) If you are moving here your only cable option is Time warner cable, which means you will pay around 100$ for just internet and basic television compared to other providers who charge less.Time warner will increase your fees further once your promotion expires which is typically 6 months to 1 year.

5) I see lots of renters here owning Trucks these days. The result being, My car door was damaged in the parking lot when one of these pickup truck guys opened their doors recklessly and dented my vehicle.Needless to say, he didnt leave his info after he damaged my car.

6) A Murder has been committed recently in this complex. Please refer to dallas morning news for details.

The murder was committed about a year ago; I don't know that roughly 12 months counts as "recent". The victim and suspect were known to each other. Ex-husband killed his ex-wife. Horrible, yes, but not as frightening as a completely random act. You are right on about the rates being exorbitant, though.
