Excellent...Ser.Dis.-Irrational Ranting!

First, I will start by stating that I have lived here for almost a year. I love the complex, the location and the staff. I also just renewed my lease for another year.

The office staff has always been friendly, professional and helpful. This started the day I walked in the door and continues today. They have always spoken in a truthful manner and behaved honorably.

The manager, assistant manager and maintenance crew have always answered by questions and fixed the few minor problems immediately. (And no, there have been no major problems.) They even checked out my dryer for me because it wasn't working properly. That was my property, not theirs. They were coming over anyway so I simply asked if would possible and they did. It took 2 seconds to look and 10 to scoot my dryer over. It fixed the problem.

Second, I will address "Seriously Disappointed's" review. It is apparent to me from her verbage, that this woman is neither personable nor possesses a positive attitude. In my opinion, her attacks of the staff and complex sound like nothing more than irrational ranting.

Third, I would like to counter her review.
1) The business center on rare occasions has run out of paper. Each time (with one exception), it was refilled the next day. On the exception, it was filled on the 2nd business day. Re: the printer cartridges, when one would start getting low I would let them know only to find out that they had already ordered a replacement cartridge. Then a couple of days later, there would be no printer cartridge in the printer. The old would be replaced with the new, then it would disappear. They would promptly order another one. This went on for about 3 months. However, it has not happened in several. Re: internet access, I was never told it would be offered and I ask A LOT of questions. So I seriously doubt, the truth to her claim. I have learned while living here, however, that safety is a top priority for both United Dominion and the Highlands of Preston. I am certain that safety would be the primary reason it is not offered.

2) Re: the jacuzzi, I attest to the fact that "Seriously Disappointed" is flat out lying. Since May, I have been in it at least 3 times/week. It has been working. They did have a recurring problem with the heating element (my terms) for a month or so, but during that time, the maintenance crew checked it (and temporarily fixed it if needed)every day.

3) Re: the walk through, I have only one comment: did she bother to set up an appointment' I know the staff well by now and I am certain that they would have walked through with her if she had simply asked. Since I know for a fact that she lied about the Jacuzzi, I do not believe her statement. Re: the apartment key, it is her responsibility to turn in her keys, not her boyfriend's. If she is this upset about one day's rent, she should have gotten the key from her boyfriend prior to the move out date. Re: the mailbox key, I only have one comment: did she bother to ask or did she just approach the management "complaining" like she did in her review' My guess is the it was the latter and that it was exchanged the first time.

4) Re: Collections, I doubt it is standard pratice to send a former tennant to collections 1 week after move-out. My belief is that this woman chose to rant irrationally to the staff, pop her mouth off, and said something specific to lead them to believe that she would not pay her final bill.

Thank you for providing me the ability to review the staff and comples. To all of those who have read this, thank you for your time. I know what is feels like to be falsely accused and berated.
