This place was not worth the money. First off my apartment looked nothing like what I was shown. My bathroom had a strip of wood paneling missing so when I called them to fix it all they did was paint over the particle board. Also the cabinent in the bathroom didn't hang properly. Then one day the pipe that attaches to the toilet was so old it broke and water was all over my floor.

The kitchen was bad too. The cabinents were old and seemed like they wood fall off any minute. My fridge had a weird smell to it no matter how much baking soda I used. The linoleum on the floor was also coming up. Dishwasher didn't work, and neither did the garbage disposal. Water drained very slow.

On days that it rained I had to place towels under the windows because they werent sealed correctly. I told management over and over again and nothing was done to fix it.

Upstairs neighbors were very loud and rude.
One morning I woke up to my security alarm (which I didn't even have hooked up to work)blaring. I got up to see what was going on and there was water coming out of it from the rain. I had to bang on it to somewhat mute the noise. It helped for about five minutes. It was so early so there was no one at the office to get a hold of. So I had to wait until they opened. When I did wait, no one would answer the phone or unlock the front office door. Finally I flagged down a maintence guy. He tried to fix the problem but was unsuccessful. I had to leave for work and later came home to see some guy from the alarm company in my place and all my lights on. Annoying.

I had a horrible waterbug problem at highlands. The pest control never did anything about it so I got a bug bomb and when I got home I vacumed up over 10 dead waterbugs. Also day I came home to find hundreds of ants underneath my bed.

I started getting tired of all of what was going on. Construction was very loud and the lawn people alway blew the grass and dirt onto my car. Not to mention the sprinklers leaving water spots all over my car. I got out of my lease six months early. Only way I would lease again there is if I got something worth my money.

I live in an old apt. I wanted something cheap and that is what I got, so I wasn't too disappointed. They cabinets are old and the shower is terrible. Plus there was a strange switchplate in the ceiling above the shower that looks like it is used for a cable outlet, but the hole was just open. Kind of creepy. We plugged up the hole just in case. We have silverbugs. I"m not sure the real name. They are all over though. Little silver slivers that crawl on the walls and ceilings. One night I heard something outside that sounded like running water and sure enough a sprinkler head was broken and water was shooting up higher than my 2nd floor balcony. I bet that cost me a pretty penny on my water bill. I still haven't figured that out. It seems too high, although I'm supposedly individually metered. I'm still investigating with mgmt. The sprinkler water does get on my car every day, but I didn't really think of it as a complaint until I read this one. I'm not staying b/c the rate are way too high for the new units.
