Stay away from all UDR properties! Management is AWFUL!

I currently live here and I wish that didn't, but I am stuck in a lease. I wish that I could tell you of the endless problems I've had with the management here, but if I start, the management will immediately know who I am and WILL make my life very uncomfortable. Let's just say that since this property was taken over by UDR in 2007, the property has declined rapidly. The mangement is rude and condescending! All they care about is their bottom line. Both the management and UDR ARE AWFUL!! Stay away from UDR managed properties. I am a reasonable and sane renter that expects premium living for the premium price I pay, but that's an illusion here. If you are thinking about renting here or any other UDR property, please please do your research. The amount of negative press about UDR is overwhelming. It is a company that only cares about the money they collect and scramble to screw people renting from them. PLEASE DO YOUR HOMEWORK AND STAY AWAY FROM THE HIGHLANDS OF PRESTON AND UDR!!!!! Their practices border on the illegal and are definitely suspect!! Any loophole they find, UDR and their "management" will exploit it!

I agree with the poster b4 me. I rented at Riachi at One21, I broke my lease and paid them the 60 day reletting fee and paid them my final invoice but they can't seem to find the final check that I hand delivered to one of their office employees. I have the receipt and will visit them today to show them that I did in fact pay but at this point collectors have called not me and not my fiance that lived there but my fiances parents. Also we had recvd a preferred employer discount on our rent but nobody in their office could do math so we ended up paying them $6 extra each month. This has been the worst renting experience I have ever had and am so glad that I now own a home.
