When I first moved here, it was because another apartment community by the same management company screwed up and leased an apartment I had held to move into to somebody else. Then, I came here and was told there was only one left of the one I wanted, and that there was another, but wouldn't be on the market for a long time because it was in TERRIBLE shape because of the previous tenants. They went on and on about the condition of it, and then sure enough, when I went back to sign the lease for the apartment I had held, they had given it to someone else again! Whoops! We over-leased! But then they gave me the one they had told me about! They barely had it ready by the time I needed to move in. It was a rocky start with management, but then that changed. The entire staff got replaced, and things have been nice. Looking for an apartment in another part of the metroplex has been difficult because it's hard to find such a big 1 bedroom at an affordable price. There's chair railing, a nice fireplace, big balcony, near lots of shopping and dining, nice bathroom, vaulted ceilings, big linen closet...It's tough. There is one thing to really consider when moving here. Electricity efficiency is TERRIBLE. In the summer, my apartment faces west, and even keeping the apartment at 85 all day, the bill was about $300. Not good for kids, it's very quiet, but overall fairly nice.
