Rent is not the only thing that you should consider before moving here. Utility bill will be more than $50 Electricity will be more than $200 Renter's insurance will be around $20 On the whole (including rent), you will be paying around $1000 just for a 1-BR There is some serious problem in the apartment with respect to the electricity. Even if you keep your air conditioning switched on for 12 hours a day, you will get a bill for a minimum of $100. That's really weird. Not sure what is going here. Also, don't sign your lease agreement before you read it completely. The management will try to persuade you to sign it ASAP but, take your own time.

I think that you are so wrong its all a matter of who you go with, we only pay $97 for electric through the right company and we pay $35 for renters insurance through infinity. And we pay less here on everything than we paid anywhere combined.... so I think you just are jumping the gun and did not shop around or had horrible credit to not get approved for good rates... so You are the only one
