I have only been here three months and the reviews did scare me, but the complex looked so peaceful and well taken care of that I let that be a direction I shouldn't have taken. If the management would spend HALF the time on maintenance repair requests that they spend on the landscaping, this might work. I have been reminded that the windows leak in a rain, the sink leaks from multiple areas under the counters, that the carpet is horrible, that the swimming pools have been closed going on two months after the City Health Inspectors closed them down for maintenance problems that were causing health issues (did everyone like the 'nuclear green' color'') and the utility bills are higher than most homes because these apartments are "29 years old and are a little worn out". I didn't see that on my lease! In fact, I don't remember anyone in the manager's office 'Preparing" me for all these things!
And to the comments from someone about 'why stay if you are that unhappy''' Do you know how much money, time and total effort it takes to make a move''' Do you just have one suitcase and away you go''' It took a large truck and four people to move me in. The idea of moving again - which I will be doing when the lease is done - is just a headache and the van isn't even here!!!!!!! The management has a responsiblity to me to make my apt. livable in return I will pay them the agreed amount. Such a simple transaction. But when they don't hold up their end, it makes for a lot of anger on my end!!!! My money comes hard earned.

The comment about "why stay if you are that unhappy" was because this person said that they had lived here for a few years. If someone chooses to live in such a "horrible" place for that many years, they deserve to be miserable. I must be the one lucky resident of Hunters Glen.
