I just came across this website and had to post my living exp here. In the three years I stayed at Independence Crossing Apartments, it was a living hell. I had repair issues that were never handled on time and a management staff that was rude and very unhelpful. I have documented proof I can e-mail anyone. Also, if you move out of your apartment be prepared to pay for repairs and cleaning costs that are more expensive then the apartment itself. I had a personal cleaning service clean my 1/1 apt for $290.00. The apartment was in better shape then when I moved in. I took photos and videos of the apartment prior to moving out, and even had the maintenance manager compliment me on the condition.
Two weeks after moving out, I receive a letter from management stating I owe $725.00 in cleaning and repairs. After contacting management and the management company, I was told there was nothing they can do. I was also advised that if I did not pay for the repairs they would report me to collections and my credit would be diminished. In conclusion, after contacting my attorney and issuing the management owner the photos and videos of my apartment after move-out, the collection process seized.
If you inquire about these apartments, ask them how many times the property assistant manager and property manager have been replaced, fired, or quit. Don t even try to get to know the manager. In the three years I lived there, I think there were 10-12 changes. The management company continues to hire rude and unhelpful employees. My neighbor was laid off in 2004 and he had issues paying rent on time for two months. After telling management about his issues and the fact he had children and no other place to go, he was told there is nothing they can do for him. They added so many late charges and fees, he could not afford to recoup and was evicted. I understand business is business, but where is the humanity.
If you read any of the positive reviews, you will be grossly aware these rating are posted by management not tenants. Please, pay the extra money or move the extra mile and stay as far away from this company as possible.

Did you post this review about the Independence Crossing Apartments in Texas or another state? This is the area for Texas.

Actually, I posted a positive review and am not management.. Just take care of the place and call all your maintenance and repairs in before you leave. I renewed my lease for the 2nd time and switched apartments once with no hassles or problems getting my money back. Seriously, its not a home and you don't own it so don't treat it as such. It's a place to live and a nice community.

Is this apartment in PA or TX? Whoever posted this and responded, please respond back. We are trying to move to the one in Texas and are confused because apparently a number of people have posted negative reviews for the PA Independence Crossing.
