La Costa Apartment is an unsafe place to live and managed by unprofessional staff. A few months ago a woman??s apartment was broken into by a man who sexually assaulted her. In fact, the assault was on the news. Despite of the media exposure to the incident, La Costa management has done absolutely nothing to increase security.

There have been numerous instances were cars were stolen and still no increase of security.

Once, one of La Costa employees who worked for maintenance was arrested for drug use.

These apartments are full of noisy college students that celebrate all night long without regards to neighbors who are trying to get a good night sleep for next day??s work. And please don??t think calling the police on them will stop them from noisy celebrations.

The walls are extremely thin. I can hear my downstairs neighbors arguing and slamming doors. I can even hear my next door neighbor having orgasms. Privacy does not exist these apartments!

Many drag racers speed through the parking lots of the apartment where children are playing. This is not a safe place for children to play.

The waiting for maintenance repairs is unreasonable. It does not matter if your apartment is flooded. They will not get to it about a month later from the time of the maintenance request. I am not exaggerating. Management services are lousy and they do not care about their residents even when your health or safety is at risk.

If you have an issue to resolve with management, be prepared to be extremely frustrated and possibly go to court. These are not the brightest people and will treat you with disrespect. I had to threaten to speak to corporate management with a lawyer to get some issues resolved.

Be prepared to be robbed by management. Their leasing contracts and schemes are specifically geared to take the most money out of you. Trust me! Don??t say I did not warn you.

I??ve only live at these apartment for less than four years and management have change at least 3 to 4 times. There has been a high turn over rate of employees. I??ve never seen so many new faces in such a short period time. It??s obvious that working at La Costa is very undesirable.

Do not rent at La Costa. I advise all people to save their money and buy a house. Apartments are a money pit. Don??t be fooled by low rent , discounts, or free rent. Buy a house and own a piece of the American dream instead of throwing your money away at apartment you will never own.

I 100% agree with you. I think I was still living their when that assault happened. I moved out in 2004 and bought a house. We paid a $450 deposit and they still charged us another $250 when we moved out. We did not even find out about the additional money owed until a collector called us. The office claimed that we did not leave a forwarding address for them to mail the information to yet they had copies of our driver's licences and my mother-in-laws with her address and we never received anything from them. Who cares if they are "upgrading" their appliances and cabinets like someone else has posted. It does not change the fact that the walls ARE paper thin and you CAN hear everything that is happening with your neighbors. They are definately a money trap!
