I've lived here for 2 years and all of my neighbors complain about rats. They bang around in the walls, you can hear them chewing on things it's gross. You're lucky if they don't die in the walls and stink up the unit for a month. Call them about it and you've got pest control coming into your apartment everyday for 2 weeks to set and clear traps. I set my own traps and have killed at least 20 over the time I've lived here.
If you like noise you'll love it here. Landscapers are there 9-5 on monday and tuesday with mowers and leaf blowers; if you're a daysleeper, you'll need to buy earplugs. Young punks with motorcycles and scooters with no life but to do wheelies in the parking lot. And the parking lot is more than full, with people parking in the firelanes because they'd rather use their garages for storage instead of parking.
Safe' This is the complex where a woman was raped 2 years ago and people were taken at gunpoint into their cars so they could get robbed at an atm machine. I was once locked out of my complex and was able to break into my own unit with a credit card! Stay away.

Did you not notice that the beautiful land that is across the street is now a retirement community? Usually when developers go and tear up an animals natural habit, the poor animals go looking for somewhere new to live. And well, since we're right across the street, there you go. Just go and get some rat poison like we did and that should take care of it. Or clean up your apartment, rats and mice love dirty apartments.
And in regards to the safety of our community. I really feel for that poor woman that was raped. But why that sick man chose her and her apartment has nothing to do with this community. All the crime from South Dallas is moving north and majority of people like that man, look for a crime of opportunity. There's crime in just about every nook and cranny of this city. There hasn't been anything of the sort of violence that woman suffered since then. So don't go blaming La Costa for one situation that happened over 2 years ago when they had nothing to do with it. Instead look to the law enforcement. If they did their jobs better, then there wouldn't be so much crime.
