Writing this at 4 AM because of paper thin walls

I am a current resident here. Unfortunately, I signed a year lease, and have no way out of it. Please, don't make the same mistake I did. The walls here are so thin, and was apparent so fast literally the day after I moved in, I insisted they do something. I can hear CONVERSATIONS at night spoken in normal tones. My inconsiderate neighbor is listening to music right now at 4 AM, which I can hear, apparently he is playing a recording from the radio since I can hear the song, and the dj banter after until he rewinds it and listens to the same song. Every step my neighbor makes (and I am not exaggerating - every) results in a corresponding loud CRACK down in my apartment. And no, it is impossible to get used to it. I was hoping so, and 3 months later all I am getting used to is the lack of contiguous sleep. I know what time my neighbor's alarm goes off (incidentally it is at 6:30 - 1 hour before mine) because every morning I am woken up by the sound of him getting out of bed. Then I am woken up again when he flushes his toilet or takes a shower because it sound like niagra falls running through my walls.
At this point, I am considering sitting in the office with a stack of papers explaining this, and hand them out to prospective residents until they let me out of my lease. This complex is far too expensive to have to hear everything up there so clearly.
Maintenance is another issue. My patio door paint is peeling. The paint job in the bathroom is so poorly done I can actually see a nice line of the previous paint in the corners. Not to mention there is a large mark where the painter put a glob of spackle and didn't take the time to actually smooth it over before painting. Even the fake wood floors had, and still do after reporting it to the office, several paint spots from the painters.
