Not a great experience

I am a single female living alone at La Ventura and will share my experiences with you.
Management does not walk the property. There are constantly burned out lights in the halls and breezeways which poses an unsafe environment. My assigned covered parking is at the other end of the building NEXT to mine. It is no where near my apartment. This makes it difficult when carrying groceries up to my third floor unit and makes me uneasy walking all the way to my apartment when coming home after dark alone. Several notices have been put on our door about break-ins and vandalism on the property. It is becoming more and more common to see police officers responding to calls from residents. The pool area looks terrible. They do not keep the pool clean and the pool furniture looks HORRIBLE. It looks like acid was poured on the lounge chairs and it away at the color and plastic. This does not make for a nice place to have your friends over for a pool party! Management puts notices on your door that they are going to do this or that (ie: entering for inspections, painting) and then don't do it and do not tell residents when it will be rescheduled. This is a pain for those with pets that need to be locked up because strangers are coming into your apartment. Received a notice on my door on 7/7 which was dated 7/6 informing me that the painters need to come by and paint around the front door and the door will need to be left open for one hour! UH --- this is July and temps are 100 degrees -- I am not leaving my door open for one hour and letting all my air conditioning escape! And again ---- how safe is that'!!'!'!'
I would have moved out sooner, but am waiting to move into a new home so I can leave the apartment living at La Ventura behind.
