Unfortunately there are some not so nice postings on our review.
In response to the unhappy residents about the painting, well, what can we say, we are upgrading the property with fresh paint and new landscaping.
We also have, in the last year, re-modeled the fitness center and if the last poster were to check out the pool area, re-strapped all the pool furniture.
The pool does have leaves in it, but we have a pool service that comes out 3 x's a week to clean it.
The leaves come from the 100 foot arboretum that spands from the office to the sand volleyball court.
It is impossible to keep every leaf out of the pool.
The area is also highly landscaped with flowers, etc.
and that can blow in the pool as well.
It is not dirty.
The painting is now 95 % complete minus the touch ups.
Although was inconvienent at times, we certainly try to please everyone the best we can, but still get the job done.
Everything we do is for our current residents, as well as future.
Our intentions are not to make their living experience here unhappy.
We have MANY residents here that have lived here for 5 & 6 years.
As far as light bulbs go, maintenance replaces bulbs daily on the property.
Since it does not get dark until 9 p.m.
when the office closes at 6, it is hard to check for burned out bulbs when we are out on property.
We do rely on resident to inform us on anything and everything.
We also welcome resident feedback or information! The notice for break-ins were not here, they were at other properties in the Plano/North Dallas area.
We were advised by our Corporate Office as well as City of Plano Police to put those notices out.
We were trying to make you aware since someone at ANOTHER property did get injured by the burgurlars.
I do live here myself, and even if I didn't work in the office, I would still love to call La Ventura my home.

Your comments that the break-ins were not at La Ventura is incorrect. La Ventura notified their residents that on 3 occasions within a very short window period (under 30 days), residences on their property had the front door kicked in while the renter was at work. Resident's were also notified that the mail kiosk was being vandalized and advised resident's not to use it for outgoing mail. You comments on the upgrade is correct. t was necessary for the property to be revisited and have the trees trimmed, as it might have been the first time since the property opened; for grass to be planted under the tress, because at many buildings throughout, there were nothing but dirt and overgrown tree roots popping up from the ground; the scheduling of the painting and communication regarding it was very poor. I think many tenets hope this has turned new page with your community. |

The particular comments in this post about the break-ins, did not, in fact happen at this property. What I was referring to, was a letter faxed to us from Plano P.D. AND our corporate office. The notice you are referring to, happened in February, 2004. We have been very fortunate that the streak of home invasions, involving weapons, etc. did not include this property. The outgoing mail box, unfortunatly was not secure, as the post office did not fix the lock after repeated maintenance requests. We do not have any control over fixing the lock as it is the property of the U.S. Post Office

I got out of this dump, managment could not care less about residents, unless they have a new manager, nothing will change. You are on your own at this property, no matter what happens you are told to call the police, even if your are threatened. There out to be a law that protects renters from managers like this. They should be fined for such abuse. Residents of these properties know the truth !!!

Wow, I was interested in coming by to check out this complex until I read this post. Rather than try to assure residents that issues would be addressed, and apologize for inconvenience, excuses were made, along with denials about issues. While managing an apartment complex may be your Job, the place is HOME to those that live there. Thank you, management, for giving me the head's up on your attitude. You saved me the trouble of checking out your place. |

I think it's a bit tacky that management or staff actually came on here to post about the property in their own defense. In the world of customer service, you have to swallow your pride if you're wrong, and even if you're right, no one wants to here it -- it's part of doing your job correctly.

YOU'RE KIDDING, RIGHT? A member of the management staff trying to improve the ratings by saying "everything is good to excellent? Are you getting pressure from above?
