I have been here just under a year and this complex is unsafe.

My apartment was broken not to long ago and I have seen many police cars and crime scene vans patrolling the grounds.

The people in the office acted as if mine was an isolated incident but many others have been the target a crime.

It is not worth the money to stay at this complex.

This is the Management office responding, and I think it's a little unfair to say that this is an unsafe place to live because someone apartment got broken into. Unfortunatley, the resident who's apartment got broken into left their sliding glass door open which made them an easy target for a break-in. I have been on the staff at La Ventura for over 6 years, and I proudly say that we are very fortunate to not have the problems alot of other communities in the Metroplex have. We send out notices and put notes in our monthly newsletter reminding resident to always keep their door locked, lights on when their not home, etc. to help prevent unwanted break-ins. I wish crime only targeted a certain zip code!
