I've lived here 2 years and have had problems with water standing outside my front door from the beginning. Two months ago I discovered that water was leaking down inside my walls now it is coming directly down inside a light fixture in my hallway every time it rains. So far the roof hasn't been fixed and no one in management seems to care. There are pigeons in the ceiling over my bedroom and I've complained about that since I moved in and nothing has been done. I'm trying to get out of my lease so I can move somewhere safe from electrical shorts and mold in the walls. Also when I moved in I was told there was a strict 25 pound dog limit but now they are letting in big, mean dogs.

A lot of the information in this review is not accurate. According to our records, her roof leak was not reported 2 months ago. Once we were notified of her roof leak, we immediately had our roofing company come out to fix the problem the first rain free day. I just went to check her apartment after the rain we had this morning, and there is NO evidence of the leak. Concerning the standing water - I measured the water with my index fingernail and it only covered the tip. We have addressed her complaints about pigeons above her bedroom ceiling and have taken action to keep them from being able to enter the attic.

I actually lived here for years and even when I left, I was so HAPPY to come back to La Ventura simply because of their staff. They are extremely helpful and friendly. Every time I have some kind of maintenance/noise or whatever problem, they respond to my requests in a timely fashion with great deal of professionalism, so I found this posting little ??????phony??????. ... especially, about mean dogs?? Hello??????we have kids here!! Believe me, I will be the first one in the office complaining!! But I never have seen any big/mean dogs!! Ok, about pigeons- I am surprised that this tenant didn??????t complain about squirrels, rabbits, doves, ducks that we see on property. ;) They are vital part of nature, so deal with it! I recommend this place to anyone who is looking for a place to call home. I love this place!

Perhaps the problem here is you, and you should get a life. Maybe you can't find happiness and take it out on the staff who go above and beyond to do their job. Now as for the "big mean" dogs...I think you have serious issues. I have seen big dogs all over the property..in every building. I was told that the big dogs have been here before the "strict" dog policy went into effect. I seriously doubt management would allow such "mean dogs". If the dogs were mean to you, perhaps they could sense your bad negative vibes. If this is one of your complaints then that doesn't make your argument very strong at all. If you find a better purpose for you life you might just find happiness and the bitterness will fade. Good Luck to you that you find yours, and remember your negative attitude will come back to haunt you.

You're a vile little creature aren't you? I'm happy that you have the perfect apartment and the perfect life. Congratulations. Oh, by the way, one of my neighbors had their apartment burglarized Saturday. Things just keep getting better.
