Spend your money somewhere else

Years at this apartment: 2007 - 2008
There are some good and bad features to this place and the bad out weighs any good. The walls are thin, I know it's an apartment but we can hear our neighbors sneeze, fornicate, vacuum, etc at all hours. Parking is terrible. They give you one garage spot and then you must park the other car in the lot or on the street. Terrible on the weekends of if you want to have friends over. The courtyards/grills are a nice thought but they don't replace burnt out lights or clean the grills. Maintenance is in efficient. We've had one toliet issue that has been "fixed" three times. Another request has been put in, we shall see. The location is convenient to my office which is why this place was picked. You pay more for the "ammenitities" but there is something always out of service at the gyms (one bike has been missing a pedal for the entire year we've lived here and it's in the gym closest to the office!), the pools are nice but there is never enough seating. They have resident events that are lead by overly Christian couples that push religion on you so it's not even fun to attend. Yes you do have a nice lake in the area to walk around and it's nice to be within walking distance to restaurants and bars...but go to Uptown or Austin Ranch or Addison Circle. There's a big disconnect on service here. The office staff tries to be helpful which is appreciated but I don't think there is solid leadership because stories will change depending upon what day and who's working. Every time we go in there you have to walk back past the desks to their kitchen area or yell "hello" to get someone to come and see what you need. They also close at 5:30 during the week, odd if it's tailored for working professionals. Variety of floor plans and buildings is a plus but they are all over priced. Our elevator works...most of the time, the gate that leads into the garage is usually broken and the key fob for one building will open them all! We have a door that leads into the building from the garage that can be kicked open, no fob necessary. Also, doors that lead from the stairwells to the courtyard open and have to be pushed closed, if someone forgets, that just leaves easy access to your apartment. The interior is standard, some plans have a few bells and whistles but nothing to get excited about. It's not horrible it's not great. We're moving on.....I suggest you do to. And Lakeside is no better. 3mPoZ6gGN6wTPgNi4L2C
