one day i came home from work and found about 3000, yes 3000 carpenter ants in the stairwell that connects my apt to the attached garage!!!!(FYI we are not dirty people, we take the garbage out daily and do not even eat at home very often) The ant prob gets so bad that not only do we have them in the apt, they get in the fuse that runs the a/c and they eat the fuse, causing the a/c not to work!!! It gets very hot here in texas and not even 1 day of no a/c in the summer is acceptable. in less than 12 months we have had this problem 5 TIMES!!!! Ants are not the only bugs that are at these apts, just the only ones we get in the 1000's. BEWARE

Sheesh ... try living by the pond/golf course ... I would happily take ants over the waterbugs. (can you hear my skin crawling off my body?)ICK! However, I sprinkled boric acid around my garage and on my stairs (in the garage) and in a few polaces in my apt, and those nasty mothers haven't made an appearance yet this year - thank the Lord! |

i do live by the pond/golf course so i get the best of both worlds bugs and not carpenter ants..TERMITES, i cant wait to get out of this place!
