Recent Painting and Power Spraying Issues

Approximately a month ago the management (new since January) posted a rather blundt form letter on all doors stating that all property needed to be removed from patios as they were having the units power sprayed and painted and in no uncertain terms would not be responsible for any damages incurred from the sub-contractors hired to do this work. I as well as several other residents have anywhere from $500-1000 in value of property on our patios. In addition, many of these items are large and heavy and not suited for a pro-longed period of indoor storage - not to mention not having adequate space indoors to move these items. I have moved my entire patio contents inside and lost a $50 potted plant because of the move THREE times now because of these notices. This is the THIRD time I moved everything inside and the contracts were not at my residence during the day they stated they would be. I have made no less than 10 calls to Management with them only telling me they were aware of the problem but did not know what they could do. I suggested on at least FOUR separate occasions that the management staff ACTUALLY COMMUNICATE with the clean-up manager at Capital Painters to be cognizant of residents with substantial items on their patio and especially if they are power spraying on a different day than they informed the resident they would be spraying. I also emphasized this would be particularly important to communicate with the HEAD PERSON managing this clean-up with Capital Painters since Capital Painters took it upon themselves to HIRE ALL ILLEGAL IMMAGRANTS WHO DO NOT SPEAK A LICK OF ENGLISH. I know they don't because I've attempted to communicate with the so-called workers doing this project. The inept management at Legends left me no choice but to send a certified letter outlining my experiences and MY attempted communications to no avail. My next step after the sub-contractors damage my property to the tune of $700-800 is to file suit.

Okay .... but give up on the law suit. There is no basis. I think the painting is a HUGE improvement. Keep up the good work!!!! P.S. Try being nice to the girls in the office. They are under paid and have to listen to alot of BS. |

I think that you are very negative, I have not encountered any of what you have described. I received the notice regarding the patio equipment it was a "notice" what do you want a love letter?? My unit was painted in the day that I was told it would be painted, I have spoken to the painters (in english) and have found them to be quite nice , friendly. I think the complex is looking very good, keep up the good work.

I experienced the same problem. I moved my things in and out, in and out, and the day I left them out, they came. I lost 2 large plants. I find the new management to be rude and seem to really hate their jobs. As far as the paint, who would paint metal gargage doors black in the summer unless they are getting a kick back from CoServe?
