Ok, searching this site because my girlfriend is looking for a new place to live (she doesnt live at the Lincoln @ T.S.). For the heck of it, I checked my own property (I DO live here). I was pretty surprised to see how unhappy some tenants apparently are. So, my take
I lived here since Feb of 04. Third floor, 2-bedroom unit.
Pros:
* Great floor plans * Very reasonable rent * Cheap water (mine averages $6/mo for one person) * Comcast digital services (as opposed to those crappy start-ups) * Clean property (YES ignore those disgruntled complainers about trash & dog poop I dont see it one bit and I walk my dog all over this property every single night) * Quiet property aside from birds chirping, you barely hear a thing outside. * Attractive property even for being a bit older (if you can say that). * Schools (I dont have kids, but that is a plus if you do) * Great neighbors. Respectful of their neighbors, quiet & polite.
Cons:
* PARKING! If you get home past 11:00 PM, you can plan on a 3-5 minute walk to your apt. If you arent lucky. I dont mind the walk, but if you have groceries, dry cleaning, etc. its a pain. * Ohio Drive what a mess! Traffic gets worse by the day. * Power bills only a slight con. I face North and pay about $180/mo for a 2-bedroom. Thats with TXUs average billing. Ive actually had worse in a 1-bedroom elsewhere, but its not great. * Location another sorta con. I work in Addison. My commute seems to get about a minute longer each month. But, try finding anything near this price down south.
All-in-all, I recommend these apartments. In fact, I have to several friends. I recently had an issue because my fridge died. I lost about $250 worth of food & they wouldnt reimburse because I had no picture of the food and I threw it all out (stinky stuff). Then, it broke again a few weeks later. Took a picture that time & they were fine with taking some money off my rent. I didnt like the situation, but I guess I see there point (for not reimbursing the first time).
Anyhow, this is a BIG property. Youre bound to get some upset people who are a heck of a lot quicker to post a review than the happy ones. My recommendation is to ask people you see walking around. Feel free to email me at tcollova@comcast.net if you have any questions.

Well it looks like the property has gotten real desperate. This guy was paid for this review. The property is quiet except for birds chirping? Are you kidding me? You must have thicker walls than the rest of us. As for the grounds being clean... Are you blind? There are dog excrimants all over the place! Curbside trash that is left by tenants who missed the trash truck sits for days all over the property. As for your acual cons, $180 is ridiculous to pay for electricity! I pay $106 for a 1500 square foot three-bedroom apartment. Ohio drive will only get worse, you see, in Texas they don't know how to STOP building. Stores and restaurants (only things Texas is good for) will continue to pop up all over and then five years down the road they will decide to widen Ohio. The first time your fridge went out you got nothing? Are you kidding? Did the "wonderful" staff up in the office assume you had nothing in your fridge? No $50? $75? Customer service and retention is not the specialty of this property.... obviously. Reviewers, if your looking for a place that shows you truly how great they are before and after you rent, then go somewhere else. This property is desperate to raise their review rating so they have actual employees or friends of employees posting reviews. This property needs new management and it looks like new ownership as well.
