Everything was GREAT, only one thing ruined it

The grounds are always well-groomed and beautiful. I love the park, trails, three pools, etc. The management is extremely nice and always very helpful, I loved everyone on the management team. Anytime I had a problem maintenance usually fixed it same day. Everyone who works in maintenance there is a stand-up guy and I've had the best maintenance experience here than any other apartment.
The only thing the ruined it was the actual apartments themselves. They're old and they need renovated. For one thing the carpet is old, nasty, and smelly and that is a MAJOR turn-off for me. I had Oxyclean come and clean the carpet, but with no results. I then called Dalworth cleaning and again the carpet was still nasty. I guess cleaning can only do so much for >10 year old carpet. All the appliances need to be replaced (except the fridge) and the doorknobs are so cheap they feel like they're going to fall apart in your hand. The blinds had a layer of dust/dirt that wouldn't come off with scrubbing and needed replaced.
If you can score an apartment in the few new ones they just built then you will probably be very happy there. If you happen to get one of the old ones you'll end up regretting you signed a lease.
