My family and I were very happy there... It's a nice and quiet place, but for the past months we've been dealing with lots of mice on the apartment!!!! The manager won't do anything about it, except to give traps to put it the apartment. The pool area is full of rats, and pretty much everywhere!! It is very absurd that we pay such a high rent for a nice apartment, and at the same time it feels like we're living in South Dallas! One day I complained with the mantainance guy about it and he said "it's common to see rats in the apartments!" NO, IT IS NOT!!! I'm very disappointed at the staff for not doing anything, and I just cant wait to move out and not have to worry about chasing mice on my own apartment!!

I lived at the Lincoln for 4 years. Please bear in mind that just last year, all the surrounding land was for farming. The Plano/Frisco border, despite the development, was "out in the country" not long ago. Every year when they'd cut the wheat or corn, all the mice/rats etc, had to go somewhere, and usually it was in the walls of the apartments. The new development is doing the same thing. That coupled with the fact that its spring, and its baby making time, means that you've got a couple of more months of frustration, and it will happen every year. Try moving off of the first floor. Short of a nuclear bomb, you're not going to get rid of all the rodents, and I'd be willing to bet you haven't checked the myriad of traps around the property to see how many they actually do catch. Might as well complain about mosquitoes while you're at it.

I lived there on the 2nd floor before the construction started and I had rats in my apartment. We thought it was a mouse and the management did nothing about it but give a traps. One night I woke up to a loud noise in the kitchen and it was a RAT bigger then the glue trap stuck moving all over the floor alive.

The management wont even try to apologize or put notice out for the residents to try to make it better. Instead, they handle you this glue traps as you're supposed to accept it and deal with it!
Today I called in the office to ask for some traps, but they were out!!!
I bet they're gonna start asking for pet deposit...because rats are becoming our pets here!!! It is so ridiculous that we pay that much of a rent, and live in that situation...

As a former home owner for a zillion years, I can tell you mice DO come in from the cold and from their former homes that were destroyed.
Yes, you do have to set a trap. Yep, you even have to take them out with the garbage. I prefer mouse traps because the rodent is then dead. You can pick up traps at Walmart for $1.27 for 3 and bait them with peanut butter.
When commercial rodent bait is used at a house or apartment, it makes the rodent thirsty and they hunt for the nearest source of water.(or pool)
Yep, you may as well complain about the mosquitos too.
And as for the second floor, mice do climb. BUT if you'll keep your apartment clean and free of trash/garbage/dirty dishes, you will cut down on mice AND eliminate pesky insects.
OBTW, do you folks expect management to come INTO your apartment with a broom and sweep it clean of mice? BE REAL! Traps/bait are the only solution!
