We just moved out, and they're trying to stick us with $900 to replace the carpeting - even though Robert the maintenance guy said it was one of the cleanest apartments he'd seen AND wrote that on his report.
They claim that they have to replace it every 5 years - but that really isn't our concern. We left it in good condition, and some timeline of theirs doesn't mean I should have to pay for their overhead.
We will be taking them to court if this doesn't get rectified.

Ask for pictures, if they have pictures of the carpet damaged you are screwed. If it is another company that inspects the carpet you can not complain about management, but some properties will inspect it them selves. Just ask! good luck

Any update on the court case? They do really try to stick it to you when you move out. Management is really my only complaint at LTS.

Sadly, no time to follow up. My wife and I are too busy with work and the kids to go after them - so they'll get away with ripping us off. At least we can steer people away so they don't waste their money.
