I am a landlord. I faxed Lodgetree a request to verify the rental history of a previous tenant, and they ignored it. So I called and they asked me to fax it again, which I did, and they ignored it again.
What this means to current tenants, is that you can pay rent late, be lousy to your neighbors, and be demanding difficult tenants, and it won't haunt your rental history because Lodgetree won't bother responding to requests from your future prospective landlords.
Now you can't get away without paying rent totally; I'm sure they'd evict you, and since that involves court records any landlord can find that out in an eviction search. But if you're looking to be a really lousy tenant, or just don't give a crap about being a good tenant, then come and live at Lodgetree because their rental office practices encourage this. On the other hand, if you're looking to be a good tenant, go elsewhere if you want to build a good rental history that will help you secure your preferred housing in the future
