The thing about Los Rios is that they look like really nice & appealing apartments on the outside, but they are cheap. CHEAPLY BUILT and CHEAP to move in. Yes, the train is annoying, and it smells like poop every time you walk outside, but who doesn't want to live in a cheaply built apartment complex on the outskirts of town' Who doesn't want to wake up every morning to the gunshots fired off that the gun range right accross the street' Who doesn't want to wake up EVERY MORNING to their neighbors and their kids trampeling around like a bunch of gorillas getting ready for school' The walls are so thin, that every day i have to tell myself that i am NOT going to walk upstairs and cuss out my neighbors for being so incredibly loud & annoying. The sad part is that they probably aren't even doing anything to be intentionally loud, it is just how this complex was built. Our refrigerator is constantly leaking water, and the front door always seems to close on us (because it's unlevel) before we can even walk in the door. So any time i have to bring anything inside, i have to put something heavy in front of the door. THANK GOD i am moving out in 5 days, i have been counting down the days to move out ever since i moved in, now THAT is pathetic!!!! By the way, if you do decide to move in here, because of the great 'pricing' just remember that you will be paying for it, every time you take that quarter of a mile walk to your car! And if you think that is fun, just imagine how fun it will be when you come home from the grocery store! That is why you will see people parking in the fire lane with their hazards on, because no one actually wants to walk that far each and every time they have to go back and fourth to their vehicle! Sure there is plenty of parking- if you want to tack on an extra $35 bucks a month, when parking SHOULD COME WITH AN APARTMENT, it's just another scam to con you out of more money! I have thankfully only lived here for one month, to try and help out my friend with rent, OTHERWISE I would have NEVER MOVED HERE!!! Within that time, someone who was drunk managed to go offroading and ram their car up into my boyfriends truck, it was a total loss. His truck was located by the overflow parking & dumpsters, Where anyone and everyone in the world has to park if your family owns more than one car, or you get home at 5pm or later-like a normal person. We have some ants, but i do think that is a higene problem and i will blame that on my room mate,...I have only seen 2 ants in our apartment. People, who *appear to be* 'Katrina victims' love to wander the streets here also, or cruise around in their cars bumpin their bass and smokin their blunts, any time i come home after dark i will park my car only to see a car next to me with their overhead lights on just showing the cloud of smoke in their car, and you KNOW it's not tobacco!....Only move here if you want to be miserable every day. When you come home, you should be put in a good mood, not get aggrivated the second you drive past the messed up gates in the front just to start your evening home with zero spots to park, then you have to make a U-turn and go all the way back up the hill, by the front gates and begin the long walk home. I GUARENTEE you will hate it here!

Im going to go out on a limb here and assume you are just uneducacted there our several members in my family who were Katrina victim and they work. You choose where you live so dont make-up excuse about the drive you sound like someone who was asked to leave and are just bitter your apartment is what you make it you have bugs you clean you have a noise complaint address it with that person or you need to look at investing in a house. No matter what apartment complex you live you will have the same issues so get over it.

Katrina relief people??? I keep hearing this. I'm from CA originally and have lived in TX for 10 years. I also have a family of four. I work hard every day of my life. Yes parking sucks and I was told it's because in some sections there are the 3-4 bdrm apts and if you don't buy a spot your at the mercy of families with more than one car. It sucks but what can you do...I guess buy a spot or garage. Every apt I have lived in is not immune from the neighbor noise. When you share walls, noise is bound to happen. If you lived in a home and put someone in a room next to yours you would hear them too. But I guess when it's your kids or your family member your more forgiving. As far as the bugs go, well they put little signs on your door saying when they will spray and I ALWAYS take advantage. Also, keep your apt clean and the bugs will be at a minimum. I came from a roach infested apartment complex to here and this place has nothing on bugs and I live back to back with the woods.

You know, alot of us feel your pain. Truthfully, the complex should be torn down and rebuilt properly. The walls and floors above the 1st were poorly done, and you are paying for it. Literally, if someone had a terrible case of gas...you would hear the explosion. The people from the Katrina Relief effort should GO TO WORK, and quit being such a bad reflection on themselves. My wife and I moved away from there, well before our lease was up. Any time it rained the windows would leak, and ruined some very expensive curtains. It was a learning experience for my wife and I. You get what you pay for.

I don't understand where you get the Katrina Relief people??? Have you asked them if they were or are you assuming that they are. You do get what you pay for and these apartments aren't bad. I have lived here a year and I really enjoy it here. Buy a garage or covered parking if you have no where to park... why be cheap? I did so I always have somewhere to park and as for ants.... CLEAN... I never have ant problems and I have children.... !!!!!

Thanks for the review. From what I hear I would rather be homeless. :)
