Years at this apartment: 2008 - 2008

I looked at the reviews on this site before I moved here, but I still moved in even with all the bad reviews.
That's what I get..
So that is why for the first time, I am rating an apartment to help others out.
Parking is really bad.
If you can't live in the front, don't even bother to live here.
You literally have to get home before 7:30 or 8:00 before the parking lot gets full.
So if you get home at night after then, you have to park in the front; which will probably take 5 minutes to walk; which means you have to go down these stairs late at night and go through the park.
Really scary since I'm not a man.
I think this apartment causes people to have no social life because they are probably so lazy or afraid like me to park in the front at nights.
We even tried to get a covered parking, but they didn't even know which lots were located near my building.
There are a few empty covered parkings, but the office said that it was all taken.
Well I don't think that's true because they didn't even know which lots numbers were located near my building.
And for the people that are always telling the others complaining about parking spaces to get a covered lot or a garage, not everybody wants to spend $40 every month.
People moved here because they thought the price was reasonable! If I knew that I would need to spend more than $40 a month my rent, I would have rather moved into another apartment for that price with better parking space.
The walls are so thin that I can hear my next door neighbor snore!
The carpet is disgusting! There are just stains everywhere even when I first moved in.
It smells like maneuver outside when it's windy since the waste disposal company is across the street.
The trash can is only in the front so we have to take our trash by car.
There are a lot of weird insects and spiders everywhere.

Dear Mark who commented already....Are you on the payroll? We began the construction of our new house early just so we can get out of here. This tenant's complaints are shared by all with the exception of you...the "happy" customer. The apartments are assumingly only safe because the Plano Police Department's shooting range is across the street and I have to explain to two small children that those are gun shots but only police officers practicing. This place is a joke! And if you did ask all of your questions, and STILL decided to live here...who is really the intelligent one? Don't question other's intelligence when you already have IDIOT stamped on your forehead!

Honestly, I find your comments to be quite comical. MY assumption is that you were abortive to look around and ask questions that would impinge on your living experience.
For instance, yes, there is a disposal company across the street, did you not notice that when you first were visited the complex? Did you also not notice where the trash compactor was located in relation to your apartment BEFORE you signed the lease?
Second, if you are indeed lazy or afraid, perhaps a night visit around 7:30 or 8:00 to scope out the parking situation prior to signing the contract? That, in my opinion, would be something an intelligent person would do.
Third, are you saying that because I am a man, I cannot be scared when walking at night? I find that to be a bit stereotypical and relatively sexist. I will say however, these apartments are indeed a safe place to live.
Fourth, an apartment complex being responsible for you not having a social life, are you serious? That comment really isn???t worth my time to go into detail of how idiotic that sounds.
Fifth, wouldn???t it make sense to ask how much covered parking is during your initial visit?
When you shop for a car, do you make a purchase based solely on the price? I think not. I would ask about the mpg, accident history, warranty, etc. As with ???shopping??? for a place to call home, I would ask questions such as, will I be receiving new carpet before I move in, how much is covered parking, do you offer free pesticide visits, etc.
It seems that it is not Los Rios Park that has failed to satisfy its residents, but more so the fact that you have failed as a renter to ask the questions that would conclude if this place was the right one for you.

Mark,
I'm sorry if I sounded sexist. My boyfriend isn't scared walking at nights, but I guess I assumed wrong that all men wouldn't be scared. But you know what? I haven't heard any stories on the news about a grown man found raped then murdered...

I think Mark is an unintelligent, judgmental person who has no business responding to this review. Mark should know that it is the reviewer's choice on what she writes about her opinion of the apartment complex.
If Mark is happy living at the complex, then his comment should've simply been: I'm happy. He doesn't have to belittle the author for having an opinion on her post.
Sincerely,
ME - A leaving UNHAPPY resident
