I have lived here for almost 3 years. When i first moved in, I was promised new carpet and new tile. The tile in the kitchen and bathrooms was so bad that it was peeling up around the walls. The carpet had "mysterious" stains everywhere and was coming apart at the seams and had buckled in several rooms because it was so stretched out. After I moved in, they told me that the person who had promised me the carpet no longer worked there and they couldn't make good on his promises. The AC and Heat are terrible here. The ventilation is so bad that I keep my thermostat on 82 in the summer and my average bill has been about $150. In the winter, I can't turn the heat up past 70 degrees or my bills run about $250. And i have one of the smaller apartments! And if anything breaks over the weekend, including your power going completely out in the middle of winter, they can't come because the maintenance staff lives at least an hour away. I called maintenance because a fuse blew about 9 pm in January and we had no electricity. It below the whole circuit. Maintenance didn't call me for 2 hours and when they did they said they couldn't make it out there tonight. They asked me if I could go outside and try to find the switch to reset the breaker. Yeah - I don't think I'm getting paid to do my own maintenance. I rented a storage garage in the complex and when I had finished storing everything, I noticed that the lock that used to be on the wall outside of the garage had no lock on it - it just had wires stickign out. I touched the wires together and guess what' The garage went up by itself. I called the office (on a saturday) and told them that i couldnt' secure my garage because of this and they told me just to put duck tape on it. Hello - red flag to burglars - come take my stuff. And you wouldn't believe the crime that occurs here. I can't even get the maintance staff to turn on the timers to the lights so i can see to unlock my door. The lights come on at 9, but it is dark in my stairwell by 7:30. I can't say enough - the bugs are so bad on the property that they come spray pesticide inside and out about 15 times a year. Plus they promise me every year that my rent won't go up because i'm a good tenant. Yet every year - rent goes up about $50 a month. Management sucks, maintenance sucks, the apartments won't get fixed or maintained, and the pool isn't even clean. Dogs poop everywhere. If that isn't enough for you, move here. I'd rather live in a box.

I agree with you! Also, when they check your AC, they left it on the lowest setting (50 degrees) when they leave. I was away for the week, when I come back, it was like walking in a fridge! My electric bill skyrocketed, and they wouldn't paid for the difference!

Yeah, the aparments are not very well insulated and are so expensive to heat or cool. And never mind going out to the pool to cool off...disgusting. I have a very clean apartment and there are always bugs in here. I think that they need to work on plugging holes and screening vents. It is horrible. I have a dog and always pick up the poop (I have an 18 month old that likes to play outside) but I see so many people just let their dogs poop and leave it. Gross. The staff also sucks.
