Awful, AWFUL place to live

I made the mistake of living here for over 2 years. Part of that was out of laziness of not wanting to move and the other part was being too busy to find someplace else.
Parking....I had a carport and I came home many times with cars taking up my spot. Sometimes it would range from the middle of the night to in the middle of the day. I should have towed every last one of them but that's my fault. Once again, management didn't do anything about it. By the time they came out to put a warning sticker on the car, it'd be gone (several hours had passed).
Noise....Many of my neighbors would have parties on the weekends that would last till late. You shouldn't have to call the cops every weekend to get a decent nights sleep. Between the parties and the music, don't get me started.
Grounds....I guess the landscaping isn't too bad if you like blocked bulky bushes. Too bad that crappy landscaping is kept alive by the hundreds of gallons wasted weekly in the streets by overspray and broken heads all paid for with your water bill which is NEVER ON TIME for you to include in your rent. That leads to you over paying each month to make sure your amount is covered. That amount is then grouped into a big lump sum which includes your deposit. When you move out and hand in your keys they'll do the walk through and use whatever money is in your deposit AND the money you overpaid them (which they have no reason to claim as theirs).
As for the safety...they advertise a gated community. In the last year that I have lived here the gate has been closed for a total of around 3-4 months. It was open at ALL times...night and day. I've had 5 HUBCAPS stolen off of my car. 2 stolen the first time, 2 stolen the second time, and after I replaced them all the 5th one was stolen. I drive a crappy VW. If they are willing to steal VW hubcaps, there is no telling what else they are willing to steal.
Construction...Anybody remember the big storm in 2007 that tore up this area' It took them over 6 months to finish the work on the roofs AFTER the 2-3 month waiting period for them to even start it. During the work being done on the roofs and car ports, they started work before 7:15 am multiple times by banging on the roofs near my building including the one above my head. I complained multiple times to management yet nothing changed until the contracted company finished all of their work.
I lived on the 3rd floor. For 3 summers, my apartment did not get below 84 degrees until the middle of the night. My AC was running constantly day and night for several months at a time. I complained constantly. Mgmt sent out the maintenance who cleaned the air filter several times. The third summer they finally got it fixed. Too bad it was WAY to little, WAY to late. That maintenance man is not here anymore so don't think any of your problems are going to get fixed if you move in.
Maintenance....Like I said above, other than the one guy who is no longer here they all suck...bad. For yet another example, I had a water pressure issue with the HOT water on my bathroom faucet. They came out and looked at it and the bent the filter so every time I turned on either the hot or cold water it sprayed directly out at me. I mentioned this to the front office and it took a month for them to come back out. They came while I was at work and left a work order saying it had been fixed. I turned on the water and was soaked yet again. 5 WEEKS later they finally replaced the entire faucet. Oh....and they also are incapable of tightening a ceiling fan.
Staff...AWFUL...I have no idea how they get away with thinking a snotty "tough sh**" attitude is acceptable. They have had AT LEAST 3 different sets of management personnel in the office. The first set was the best and it's gotten progressively worse since then. It's absurd with how uneducated and rude these people are. Common sense is not in their vocabulary. If something benefits the renter, they'll have to check with THEIR management. If it benefits the owners then that's what is going to happen with no regards to who and how it affects. It has gotten to the point where every time I even think about the management or this apartment complex in general it puts me in a bad mood. I am moving at the end of this month and I can't explain how excited I am for doing so.
These are just part of the problems I have had since I have moved in. Seriously... Do yourself a favor and save yourself some heartache and keep driving when you see this sign or any sign under Madison ownership. Good riddance. SEk1KnECheF1ATXbXtrZ

I lived there for a year and moved last summer. They do not include the water from sprinklers, car wash or pool water in the water bills we get as residents. My wife had that concern and so I read the lease; it says that's not part of what we residents pay. When I lived there last year the office staff was very caring and concerned. Seemed professional and helpful at that time. Can't speak for the last 5 months.

I have lived here almost 6 yrs and can attest that the initial post is an absolute fair assessment of the overall condition of the location at this time.
It is my hope they will radically turn this around because the first 4 yrs here were great.
