I moved in on August 14 and so far, I love the place! What everyone says about the Rental Staff is true - they are wonderful, as is Maintenance. They give u this little checklist/walk-thru sheet to complete within 48 hours after u move in, right' Of course, I've spent these last few months trying to get settled and just got around to filling the thing out. I didn't think they'd act on any of my maintenance issues so soon because of how long it had been, but the guys were out here within 24 hours and my problems have been resolved. Caesar is the one I met with personally and he assured me that I would love it here and that if I had any maintenance or rental issues to please let them know and they'd get it resolved quickly; well (knock on wood) so far, they've lived up to their promise.
That's just the maintenance team. Getting to the Rental Staff - believe it or not, they are just as cool. I dealth with Ms. Barbara when I first moved in; she was the first person I met, she showed me the apartment community and the model (which I fell in love with immediately), she walked me through the entire qualification process and she is still here to this day helping other folks. I've noticed a few new faces in the office since I've been here but I can't remember their names right off. Despite that, whenever I go in to pay my rent or to use the facilities, everyone is nice and helpful and that makes me feel even better about living here.
The apartments themselves and the grounds are extremely well-maintained and trash is kept to a minimum since we have pick-up 3 times per week. I'm single and I live in the largest 2 BDRM, 2 BA. For just me alone, it's huge and even for 2 people with plenty of furniture, it would be great. I have 2 nice patios - one covered and the other uncovered. I love the open floorplan and the vaulted ceiling in the LR area. This place has TONS of storage, including linen closets in both bathrooms and a full laundry room (not just a little closet) with more storage. The walk-in closet in the MBDRM is HUGE!!! I could go on and on, but I think u get my point.
Now I have to be fair if I'm going to give an honest account. If I have anything to complain about, it would have to be the God-forsaken US Online Service. Right now, I think MP must have an exclusive contract with them for online and cable service, but hopefully they'll switch to another provider soon. I just wish we had the freedom to choose whomever we want for telephone, DSL and cable service, but we don't. Oh, and last but not least, if we had more equipment in the fitness center, that would be awesome too. That's it for my gripes.
To sum it all up, after all the specials/discounts, I'm paying under $1000 for a great apartment with nice neighbors and staff in an area that's quiet, classy and within proximity to stores, restaurants, etc. I've lived in 2 different communities since moving to Texas 3 years ago, and they were either in Frisco or Plano, and in this high cost-of-living area, this is a deal you can't beat, especially with the high-quality customer service factor.
