I have been a resident at McDermott Place of Plano, TX since September 2005. Coming from a family who builds home up north in McKinney, Texas as well as having a father who was a former building inspector I was quite surprised to find that following my first initial walk through , bathroom floor ceramic tile as well as kitchen floor ceramic tile is cracked and missing grout, air outlet ventilation vents in bathroom, living room and bedroom are filthy and there were water stains in the bathtub from a round plastic 3/4" PVC pipe which is situated in the top right hand corner of the bath/shower inset. Afetr only being in the apt for a few weeks it was brought to my attention by an outside contractor that put in a regulator on the hot water tank and noticed that the 3/4" copper overflow pipe had been cut and never repaired. Yesterday I called asst manager Summer of McDermott Place expressing concern about a possible electrical outage in the unit since my answering machine connected to my phone was not functioning. When I got home from my job I find that as a result of incompetence on the part of the United State Postal Service and the MCDermott Place Apts that CoServe came out and disconnected my service without any fore warning, phone call, or Coserve Mail statements which were never received. I am extrememly inconvenienced here by the incompetence displayed not to mention food spoilage in the regrigator. I would like to see the property manager make necessary coorections to the leased property, or tenant will seek repairs by an independant contractor. Work orders should not need to be filled out pending proper communication by previous water contractor who supposedly notified you of necessary repair and just reading the check off list from the initail walk through. If these request are too demanding just let me know and I will vacate the premise, without any financial penalty and find a more appropriate preoperty which doesn't present a false fascade in their advertising profile.
