We moved in May 2007 to this complex in a 1 bd 1 ba. We then moved to a 2B 2 BA on the 2nd floor in May 2008. The nightmare was underway. The noisiest, loudest downstairs neigbors in the world. We called the police on them because of the loud music until 4 am. We have a 2 yr old daughter who kept gettting woke up by this noise. The police came and filed a report. We contacted the office then next day with a copy of the police report and all they said, "The next time will be a lease violation." It specifically states in the leasing contract that any loud music or disturbing behavior that disturbs other neighbors is automatically a lease violation. This has gone on for 5 mos now. The office states everytime we complain, that it would be a lease violation. The neighbors ran into my wife and child when she was coming home and made abusive threats to them both. Again the office was contacted and again they said the next time would be a lease violation. We come to find out, that the police was called 15 times during a 2 week period by our downstairs neigbors because our daughter was crying too loud, walking, running, or making too much noise in her bathtub. UMM she is 2'''''' What idiots. Since the office which consists of Christy (property manager), Tracey (very stuck up), Barbara (has no clue what she is doing on a day to day basis, and Amanda (useless as well) did nothing, we contacted the regional manager and VP of Simpson Properties in which the VP is the mother of a friend of ours. We have been released of our lease and reletting fee because of everything and the escalation. We have good friends who live a building over from us who are leaving as well for the same reasons. Stay away from Simpson Properties all together. We are very happily leaving this dump run by idiots and away from the trailor trash neighbors that lived below us.

You have a good handle on the personnel.CHRISTY HAD BEEN JUST HIRED AS MANAGER WHE WE LEFT.Traci is not stuck up-she has no social skills.Barbara has been humilated by three Asst.Managers PLUS SHE IS ALMOST 70, so I IMAGINE SHE IS HANGING ON BY HER TEETH.
McDermott big problem is that they have forgotten Service is what APARTMENT LIVING IS ABOUT.Also the managers I have met need to go to management training classes.

The biggest problem I have found in regard to this place is that the staff that you see are pretty much leasing agents. I have always wondered who is suppossed to be in that "main" office where a manager should be. I heard they hired some pregnant lady...but I never saw her. I would love to know who would hire a pregnant lady to fix problems with the previous managment, knowing good and well she won't be around. This is stupid. The staff may have potential but they cannot run themselves. They have no power to make decisions, so it becomes a waiting game. I have watched the place begin to fall apart, and I know people are leaving in swarms...By the way the valet trash idea is probably the straw that will break most renters backs. Adding $15.00/mo to a persons rent for trash removal, without a heads up is poor business. I would have let it be the renters choice. I know I would rather drop my own trash off and keep the $15.00. Those news letters should contain pertinent information like we are going to require renters insurance and a mandatory valet trash service if you re-new with us. These items do add up and should not be told as you are getting ready to re-lease. I personally think the lease agents are nice and I enjoy them, but top priority should be with finding a manager that will be effective and let these other staff members work on future clients. When the TV's get stolen out of the gym, it makes you wonder who is moving in lately.
