I wish I would have stayed

I moved out of my Mission Gate apartment in Dec. of 2005 into a home, I thought it was time to rent a home and have a backyard for my dog. And because I did see a notice on my door more than once about a crime issue in the area (being a single woman that scared me) Honestly the dog poo was an issue, when I walked my dog I took a bag with me but did my best not to walk at night because I was afraid to step in what everyone else had left behind. BUT, I will say that I got the best response from management living there for repairs or any other issues I had. At one point, my apartment guest bedroom and bathroom had a flooding issue one night at 4am in the morning and the manager and 3 maint. people were there within an hour and stayed with me thru the morning until they could offer me another option for a place to stay and a kennel for my dog. They bent over backwards for me, and when I moved out after a year and a half, they did not hit me with insane move out charges. Everytime I spoke to the manager, she was friendly and did what she could to help me. The only complaint I had during the whole ordeal was they had a specific hotel they could put me up in which was a little further from my office, but still a nice place to stay for the night. If you look at all the reviews on these sites, no complex is perfect, but I will say that I am now having to move out of the house I leased because the landlord has found a major repair issue to take care of, and the only place I have thought about going is back to Mission Gate, if the crime issue has gotten better.
