Enough said about that, there is only hot water for about 5 minutes. So i hope everyone enjoys 2-3 minute showers, oh wait a minute! That isn't an ISSUE FOR PEOPLE WHO DON'T TAKE SHOWERS!! Old appliances, every time we used our microwave, we would have to double the time, and sometimes the food would STILL be cold in the middle! Curry Anyone' You are guarenteed to smell the fresh aroma of curry 24/7 when you come home or leave your apartment! HEY! Don't Forget the daily evening rituals, bring your friends and family, because it will be about 30 kids running around right outside your apartment, when you are trying to nap. This is a very "Family" oriented apartment complex, where EVERYONE loves to play volleyball, and Tennis, and Walk around with their kids in the middle of the streets! So basically you can count on the volleyball courts always being taken up and used anytime there is pretty weather, which is okay, however, it is not okay that you have to wait for 2-3 days after it rains to play volleyball. When it rains, the volleyball courts are literally like a lake. The sprinklers are ALWAYS runing, every 2-3 hours it seem! The place is always flooding, not into our apartment luckily. But i keep seeing other complaints about vandalism or theft, we never had a problem with that, i would leave my purse in my car many night and there was never an issue there. The Old shepard Apartment complex is a member of TAA- Texas Apartment Association- In that contract you are required to get your deposit back within 30 days, No matter if you totally trashed it and didn't clean, or if the place is spotless. Me and my boyfriend found this out, After we were on our hands and knees detailing the apartment in hope of seeing our money again. A leasing agent at another complex told us that the TAA requires you get your deposit back within 30 days of moving out, so far it has been 28 days since we have moved out, and we haven't seen anything, but the apartments Club house did actually burn down, a week later, so we will be a little forgiving. vWhRVi5nYYIuEh4W7K3l

And the flop side of being very indian community is, almost all of them are peace loving and do not carry guns. Hence there is a burglary every month and the cops havent got a clue about who does it regularly for their monthly pay check. Kids from neighbouring apartments sneak in, and steal bikes right in front of the owners, and the owners are scared about the theives carrying guns.

I usually don't comment on reviews but this review warrants that. Just because you see a lot of a certain ethnicity around at an apartment place doesn't necessarily mean that that is all who lives there. It shouldn't matter anyways, however. It is regrettable that your review focused on race as opposed to the quality of the apartments. Under the fair housing act apartment places or any real estate person can divulge any information about the tenants who live there, age/race/gender/anything.
