I went by on Monday afternoon to see the apartment complex. I had already requested an application so that I could have it filled out if I decided to rent at the complex. After viewing one of the units, I went ahead and left my application and application fee at 5:45pm. I was told it would be given to the manager to process, but the staff would be out of the office all day at a meeting. After getting home, I decided against the complex and immediately emailed them to let them know I had changed my mind (6:38 pm) and asked them to not process the application. I also phoned and left a voice mail. I immediately received a response by email that indicated my request had been received. I never received a phone call back as I requested. On Saturday, I check by bank account and they had deposited the check for $85.00 and it had cleared my account even after I asked them not to. I called the office and was told that it was given to the manager who went ahead and processed the application (SO THAT THEY COULD AT LEAST MAKE A LITTLE OFF ME!). Their fee is non refundable even though I asked them not to process! The reasons I decided against the complex due to the condition of the appliances (most are the original ones) and no updating has been done. For the amount of rent they charge, you can get a much better apartment at another complex in Plano and it costs less! DON"T RENT HERE!!!!!I also intend of reporting this to the Better Business Bureau and lodge a complaint.
