If you are 55 years old and meet income guidelines, I strongly recommend you consider The Plaza at Chase Oaks Apartments. I have been here a year and I am renewing my lease. Here are my reasons.
With one exception, the building is excellent. It is nearly new (built in 2006) and well located in Plano, a desirable suburb of Dallas. The apartments are large for the price and are well insulated for weather and noise. The property is very quiet. You rarely hear your neighbors. Being new, the building is wired for high speed Internet and is overall energy efficient. Summer electric bills are reasonable and water is included in the rent. The only drawback of the building is high electric bills in the winter. I am told this is due to electric (not gas) furnaces.
With no exceptions, the staff is excellent. Property management basics are handled with consistency and precision. The building and grounds are well maintained and repairs are prompt, often immediate. Valet trash removal picks up bags from your doorstep three times weekly. Most of the residents are always home and are highly demanding of prompt, courteous attention to their needs. The staff meets and usually exceeds these high expectations. Everyone, from the Porter to the Property Manager, is competent, helpful and friendly. Staff turnover is low and professionalism is high. The atmosphere on the property couldn t be more warm and welcoming. Luis Hernandez, Porter, picks up trash from the doorsteps of 260 apartments three days a week in addition to handling routine housekeeping of the grounds, halls and elevators. Troy Adams, Lead Maintenance Technician, responds to most requests same day, often same hour. Sue Teese, Activities Director, coordinates 60 resident events per month in the Club Room and field trips to shopping, dining and entertainment venues mostly in the Metroplex and as far away as Oklahoma. Mary Carroll, Office Administrator and Tony Garrett, Assistant Manager, cheerfully handle the busy office typically crowded with visitors interested in property info and residents with business issues or just dropping by to chat. High-performing employees with great attitudes like those at The Plaza do, of course, reflect the attitude and professionalism of their leader. Lynn Garrett, Apartment Manager, is that leader. The property, with its demanding residents and high service levels, is a challenging operation to manage. Lynn handles the hectic pace with apparent ease. Her door is always open to residents and visitors.
The decision to renew my lease with The Plaza at Chase Oaks was an easy one. I am very satisfied living here and strongly recommend these apartments to other active seniors who qualify.

I encourage anyone reading the above to ask the question: what resident knows so much specific information, unless they also either work in the office or allowed an employee of this property to help them write this?

I think this was writen by some one that works for the appartments. There are several draw backs to apartments, the hall are freezing in the winter and way to hot in the summer and there is not enough parking near the apartments. You can hear peoples tv, phones ringing and dogs barking.
