BEWARE: YOU WOULD BE A SUCKER TO BUY OR RENT FROM THIS MANAGEMENT COMPANY!!!!

Ive been here for about 3 years and if it werent for the fact that I love my apartment itself and the location (and hate moving), I would have left a little over a year ago when the new ownership and management came in. Since then, they have been trying to convert these apartments into what they are calling luxury condominiums. Thus, theres been a lot of construction and notices going out about changes, such as new front doors and gates for the complex. Not once have they ever followed through with their promises on time NOT ONCE! When this is brought to their attention, they have a laundry list of excuses as to why with an attitude to go with it. New front doors were to be done in September of 2004, but actually was not completed until late October/early November. When they came to do the doors, they did NOT give notice and had I not been home, my animal would have taken off because the door was off for over two hours. The outside of the doors were supposed to be painted in November, but were actually done sometime in January. Hardware for the doors were to go on December 23 and that was done almost 5 months later. It also took them until this 3rd week of April and numerous requests to finally have the inside of my door painted and again, they have not come through when they said they would. Most of the doors in the complex still need to be painted on the inside but like everything else around here, it will not get done until those tenets bug the office about it over and over again. The new gates (which were not even necessary) were put up a few months ago with notices going out that we would need to give them our phone number (back in February) so they could begin giving out remotes for the gates. In March, notices were sent out requesting a $30 deposit for the new remotes stating that the gates would be closed by March 31st. There were 2 notices and one phone call reminder about this, but when April 1st came, the gates were not closed. Their excuse was that people had not dropped off their deposits. It wasnt until April 18th that they were actually closed and since theyve been more of a nuisance for everyone than anything else. Pet policies have been sent out reminding tenets to keep dogs on a leash and to pick up their dogs waste, stating a fine will be given to those who do not abide by this rule. However, they do not enforce it and despite complaints about dog waste in the shared medians and plant beds, theyve do not pick it up. When I moved in here almost 3 years ago, we had a small weight room w/TV available to residents 24/7. In recent months, the new management removed the equipment and turned it into an office and did not inform any of the residents of this change, nor will they consider lowering the rent after this change.

As for the residents, theyve had some fairly sketchy people come in and out of here and just the other day, one of these people were involved in a stand-off with police. Did the management inform the residents of this ordeal that had streets and our complex blocked off for 4 hours? NO! I only found out because a neighbor told me about it, but its my understanding that when something like that occurs, they are to let residents know. They have quite a few who have cars too big for their garage, so they just let them park half-way in/half-way out or all the way out, going over the fire lanes. Some of the residents keep their garages trashed out, as well as their vehicles and some invite people over that block driveways, drive too fast through the complex or play their music too loud. Theres one weirdo that sits on a couch in his garage all day long, every day (obviously not working), while his stripper wife goes to work. Its not a huge problem, but its just one of many things that make this complex look bad and essentially, decreases the property value.

Several tenets have made complaints and requested things be done around here and all they get back is attitude from management. They will be nice to you if they think youre willing to drop over $100k for a one-bedroom apartment, but not if youre already here paying rent. Property Manager Mia McCutchen is by far the rudest person working for the company and anytime you go into the office for ANYTHING, she makes you feel like youre taking up here precious time (from making personal calls, etc.). She claims shes been in this business for over a decade and that she knows what shes doing but her actions say otherwise. This is someone who should NOT be in the business of dealing with people. The other people on the property are almost as bad and calling corporate isnt much better. Bottom line DO NOT BUY/RENT HERE OR YOU WILL REGRET IT LATER!!!! If youre looking to buy, you can find a condo or even a house for the kind of price theyre asking here and youll hopefully have a HOA that will take care of problems when the arise instead of shooing you away like YOURE the problem.
