'Ghetto' is in the eye of the beholder

The 'ghetto' statements are somewhat true. Although this place is definitely far from TRUE ghetto, there are some 'thug-ish' looking teens on the property. Anyone can take advantage of the "Open Records Act" on the plano.gov site, just email them and they'll send you a list of crimes that have occurred on the property (or any other for that matter). I got mine in today and it's somewhat surprising for the area, but certainly not near as bad as places a little further south. The worst of the eight crimes occurring in the past year was two "assault with a dangerous weapon". There were also two larceny reports in specific units (scary), "burglary of a motor vehicle $50-$200", and three "burglary or unlawful entry non-residence", which just means someone broke into the office, weight room, etc. Honestly, it could be a lot worse. You have to realize that you DO live in a huge metroplex, and crime will happen. My guess is that these crimes were committed by teens, or non-residents coming from the 'ghetto'. I've lived in MUCH worse, and for the price you pay, these are pretty good apartments. Of course, my opinion may change in the future, since I've only been here a short time.
