The reserve at charles place advertises as a "luxury apartment" but I beg to differ. The air conditioners are outdated and need constant maintenance to keep a cool temperature in the apartment. Second the pool has been closed in 2008 3 times. some periods of closure are 3 days to the present closure of 5 days (given the longest closure was for update (1 week)during the summer. The security gates are constantly malfunctioning and having maintenance done (open). If only SCI properties only knew how this management company was handling their 32 million dollar investment! aLKeoXpj3s4OSgrp1trb

I agree with the luxury ghetto comment! The community itself is pretty amazing, but there's a LOT of issues in this community. All the damn kids are everywhere. I almost hit TWO little girls on their bikes as I was driving because they CUT in front of my car! And I'd hit them I would've been at fault no matter what. Then there's the basketball goals management allow in front of garages, and no matter where you park, the kids let their basketballs hit your car. I'd have to say of all the issues here, definitely #1 is the fact that kids run out of control. They have the typical spoiled Plano attitude and no regard for other people (which makes you think about how their parents are). I never bothered with the pool since it was alway packed full of kids. So I don't know anything about the pool. I never had an electric bill over $150 (in 1400sq ft, AND our patio door got all of the cold north winds over the winter) BUT, when we moved in we changed out the cheap old thermostat they had and put in a digital one. I think the thermostat could be a lot of your issues.

I agree with you about everything and I truly wish all the best in getting out of here. They should call this place luxury ghetto, lol, or luxury slums!! Don???t even bother calling alliance because they do not care at all about what they are doing here. The dumb, stupid, cut throat little girls working in the office will be happy to tell you what you want to hear but don???t expect anything. They will not do anything right and lie to you that they did! I wouldn???t even step foot in the pool because of poor pool maintenance. They don???t even use enough chemicals to clean it. Gross! I am unfortunately stuck here till November but I am counting down the days! I have talked to 5 people all of them have problems with there air conditioners. They will suck your wallet dry with the 500-650 bills. I can not believe they are aloud to do this to people! This place sucks and I wished I never moved here! DO NOT MOVE HERE!!!
