High Energy Consumption

My issue is with how high my energy bill is. When we first started receiving our energy bills, we thought maybe it was because we weren't unplugging appliances or that we had the heat too high (as we had moved in during the winter). We turned down the heat and anytime we weren't using an appliance, we had it unplugged so that it wasn't sucking up additional energy when not in use. Well, that did not solve the problem. It makes no sense why my husband and I receive energy bills in the plus of $100 when we both work, are constantly unplugging appliances to cut costs and only running dishawasher/washer/dryer when we absolutely must and when we do so, we make sure that we have large loads. I do not know if it is because the a/c units are not properly maintained (given since we have been there we have not once had our unit worked on) or if it is the appliances or what. We have decided to move out of Pebblecreek to an awesome place in Dallas where rent includes energy. YAHOO!!
Plus, it'll be nice to walk around a property where they actually make people clean up their dog feces. Watch your step at pebblecreek because poop is everywhere. NASTY.

| I sorry to hear of the issues you're having with your high utility bills. But, more importantly, I'm sorry to hear that you've decided to move. Many times energy companies will state they have a "locked" rate, but more often than not, there are hidden fees involved that increase your bill by a significant amount. You can compare your rate to other companies on powertochoose.org. Prior to your move-in a preventative maintenance check is preformed on all HVAC systems. If you feel your a/c is not operating properly please feel free to contact the office via phone (972-312-0300), come in the office, email (pebble_creek@venterraliving.com), or drop a note in the night drop and we'll be happy to service your system. In regards to the grounds, I agree, it's not very pleasant to walk around and see pet waste. I would encourage you to report any offenders to the office so that they can be properly dealt with. Also,if you would like to suggest a place to add an additional pet waste station, I'd be happy to take that into consideration. Please feel free to contact me directly if there's anything else I can do to make the remainder of your stay here a pleasant experience. Kind Regards, Robyn Keller Property manager 972-312-0300 | |
