I have lived here for going on 4 years now. When i moved in, it was such a nice place to live, the rent was reasonable and the neighbors were nice, BUT NOT ANYMORE!! Since then, this apartment complex has been through 3 management companies and this one is by far the worst. Unfortunately I was stupid enough to sign another years lease here recently(where I was told that it was going to be raised, first time in 3 years, and on top of that, it would be going up every year that I resigned my lease)simply for the fact that I hate to move and boy am I regretting it. If it won't do some much damage to my credit, I would move out now. I only hope that the complex will yet again change hands and maybe it will have better luck(doubt it).

I too have had problems with maintenance not showing up to fix problems in which the office staff has told me was considered an "emergency" in a timely manner. I had to sit through a whole weekend of nearly 100 degree heat with no air conditioner, because maintenance didn't make it to my apartment on Friday. The a/c, heating units are way too small for the size of apartments that they are cooling and they know it, but they think that the tenets are a bunch of idiots and will buy anything they tell you. Well guess what, I know that its not supposed to be 80 degrees in an apartment where the a/c is sitting on 65, no matter how hot it is outside.

As far as safety, thank goodness I have a garage (which I paid out the whazoo for) in which it park, because I wouldn't trust my car sitting outside in the parking lot. Although, quite often I come home to find my garage door sitting wide open. And the cars just fly through the parking lot. On the other hand, there are some parents that just let their kids have the run of the place and I find myself often have to swerve out of the way of the across parking lot football game that they are having because they don't have the good sense to get out of the way when they see a car coming.

When I brought some of my issues to the apartment manager, I was threaten with eviction!

In conclusion, save yourself a lot of anger, heartache and regret, and look else where for an apartment to live.
