Well i went in with my wife and we looked and thought things looked great. The staff was friendly and seemed intent on helping us..however, They sat and took our information and our $250 non refundable deposit/application fee. They let us know that with the economy the way it is that our less than perfect credit wouldn't be a problem and that they had to run us through the system. I got a call a few days later stating that we weren't even approved with a security deposit or co signer. The move in special gets you in the door and forking over the money. My feeling is that they have very limited apartments to rent and are merely fund raising off from deposits. At $250 they are probably denying 5 or so people a week the translates into $1300 per week of free money. My recommendation is to only apply if you have $250 to flush or perfect credit. The lady that spoke to me was kind of rude after the check was cashed and seemed to look down her nose at me. I felt the service was great until they got your money. And to top it off when i called the phone wouldn't even take messages.

With the economy the way it is there are plenty of apartment complexes that aren't charging such high application fees. Call first, get details before even going to see the apartments. Also, call an apartment locator - they really helped me when I was looking with less than perfect credit (as well).

They did the same thing to me, except they told me at first the deposit was refundable
