Ants, mold, and a crooked toilet From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 4/8/2004 Years at this apartment: 1998 - 1999   I lived in the apartments when they were first built in 1998. My carpet was damp when I first moved in even though it was never lived in. I had every baseboard in my 2 bedroom turn moldy and strange black spots would appear on my carpet. I had cracks from the apartment settling after 3 months. We also had the ant problem. The worse thing about the place was that my 2nd toilet bowl leaned to the left. All of my guests felt as if they would fall off! The maintenance said there was nothing they could do to fix it. It was like that for 6 months until they hired a new guy and he had it fixed with in 10 minutes. The maintenance said I had the worst apartment they had seen on property as far as repairs and they said it probably flooded before I moved in. I wanted to leave 2 months early to get out of the moldy mess but the management was going to charged me over $3000 in back rent of specials and washer and dryer. None of my neighbors were happy either.
