fend for yourself From: -Anonymous- Date posted: 1/13/2006 Years at this apartment: 2005 - 2006   I'll start by agreeing w/ the comments about the AC. While it was comfortable in our living room, the master bed & bath was a heat wave even w/ the AC jacked up quite high, and the bills were awful. There was always a lot of garbage flying around, mostly by the mail center, so that might tell you a little about many of the people who live here who just don't care to use the trash bin. Regarding the construction, we've complained a half dozen times about the noise above us. We were told to go to the neighbor directly, which we had done three times already to no avail. They do allow dogs, but don't follow through when it comes to picking up after them. I know that where we park our cars, there is always a ton of poo, and on hot, humid summer days.....well, you can imagine. Our apartment wasn't cleaned well when we moved in...dead bugs galore and curry left in just about every kitchen cabinet. The main reason I'm posting now is because of their "fend for yourself" attitude. While we were away, a neighbor had a water issue that caused our gargage some water damage....our garage that we used for some storage. We found out after we had returned, and while the complex has settled the issue with him, they are doing nothing to help or compensate us for our loss. Privacy laws prohibit them from giving us his name or insurance, so we have to go through the courts system. They won't even contact him to let him know this occurred...won't this previous neighbor be surprised to get a court summons in the mail. They covered thier butts, but leave you high and dry. We signed our lease a few weeks before the property was bought...I think that had a lot to do w/ the problems. Once again, a case of new management not caring about you after you've signed on the dotted line. When our lease is up, we're gone.
