Not a good place if you have kids!

I think the rentals here are higher than market value. The apartments are old and have very old (and inefficient) air conditioning units. These airconditioner units need to be run constantly to make any impact on the temperature and therefore result in HIGH electrical bills (try $350 - $400 per month).
On a value-for-money comparison, Somerset is definitely over priced compared to what else is available.
The current complex manager needs a course in customer service and people management skills.
Safety - the gates are constantly broken and stand open as a result. This gives residents a feeling of insecurity because of the fact that the general public often has unlimited access to the complex because of the gate problem.
Maintenance - they have never been able to get my a/c unit to work properly. They always tell me to turn up my fans to circulate the air better. It is just nonsense. The a/c's are crap!
Parking - usually not bad but there are not enough visitor bays.
I won't be extending my lease here.
