I hope you will find this information helpful if you are considering living in these apartments. I encountered serious problems with management when it comes to getting leaking AC repaired. I now regret renewing my lease. Builders around here rent brand new construction of much better quality for so much cheaper.
AC is very important in TX, when it often hits 100s outside you want to cool down inside. Most of the apratments in Somerset have old AC's at the end of their life. If an AC dies they replace it, but if it runs but leaks out and does not cool the management opts to refill them without fixing the leak (obviously because it is much cheaper for them)
Our AC was refilled several times by the previous company (apartments were sold last fall) But they still refilled my AC 7 times since April 1. All the time it was very hot once the freon is gone and my wife and I had to spend a lot of time asking for repairs. After 3.5 months we got fed up and complained over the heads of local managers to their Canadian bosses, only then things started to move. After 3.5 half months of complaints we got a brand new AC.
They found the leak INSIDE the apartment! All this time we were breathing freon. It is particulary dangerous substance even in small concentrations for people with heart and respiratory problems, up to a lethal outcome. You can just google freon and see yourself. Not to mention it destroys the ozone layer.
To sum up think twice before renting here, if you get unlucky with AC as I did, you may be in for a lot of trouble. Consider other places with better ratings of management and newer ac units or rent brand new townhomes from builders if it is the size you are looking for.
